Sarah's 14th Birthday

Sarah's 14! We had a 24 hour celebration practically. Monday was MLK Day, so she was off from school. We took her and a couple of friends to see the Green Hornet movie, and then had pizza and cake/ice cream at our house. She got lots of money from family members, as well as makeup and jewelry. On her actual birthday today, I took her and two friends, Cassidy and Cabrina, to the mall. We went to Nordstroms and had "Buddy" teach her how to put on make-up, then went shopping to spend her money. She bought some very practical gifts: a hat pictured below (don't ask me why...), some new shoes and a backpack that has a character on it, "Gir,"from a TV cartoon called Invader Zim. It's a robotic dog basically. Anyway, then Erik, Lars me and Sarah had dinner at Texas Roadhouse, which has kind of become a tradition as it's her favorite places to eat. I can't believe she's starting high school in August - we registered her today for her classes! Wow, time really does fly by fast!
