Gosh, what didn't we do! Made some serious ground in a few days. Tuesday night
everyone was arriving, so we just got something to eat for dinner and walked up
and down 5th Ave before going to bed. Wednesday we did a open air bus tour, then
got off at World Trade Center, then went on the ferry to Ellis Island and
Statute of Liberty. That tour got back around 5:00 pm, so we met up with
everyone at the hotel and got dinner. Thursday we went to the Macy's parade,
then walked around Central Park, and then FAO Schwartz and all the places around
that area of town. We had some pizza for lunch and then went back for a rest
before going to the fancy dinner for Thanksgiving at Battery Park Gardens.
(Wasn't that good for the cost, but the view of the Statue at night was very
cool). After that, we went to Times Square and then on to Rockefeller Center.
Friday we went shopping at Macy's then Chinatown to find some good fake purses.
Had lunch in Little Italy and then back to more Chinatown. Then we went back to
rest for an hour or so before going to the show Chicago on Broadway. After that,
we went to Empire State building and then to Hard Rock Cafe on Times Square
about 1:00 am because we were starving. Saturday morning we just walked around
Greenwich Village, SoHo and NoHo because my mom and sister had a shuttle picking
them up for Newark at 11:00 a.m. I left after they did and took the train to
JFK. I was ready to sit down! I was sooo glad to have Sunday to rest and
recover. I was sick before I left and my throat is worse now, probably cause the
wind and cold weather, but it wasn't too bad that I couldn't rally and have a
good time. The weather was sunny two days and like in the high 40's so very
tolerable. It was just a great trip all around.
