Lest you think Erik is the only brainiac in our household - check out Sarah's honors! Not only did she make honor roll, she got a math AND science award - THOSE genes she definitely got from Lars. Glad to find out the thousands of dollars we've spent on tutoring is working! Way to go Sarah!
Erik had his 8th grade honors awards night last week. He's the one in the striped shirt getting his award - notice that all the girls are taller than he is :) He got his honor roll certificate and pin, and a letter and certificate from President Obama for Excellence in Education. Only the kids that had greater than a 3.5 (he made a 3.9), and who also scored higher than 85% in all subject areas on the state tests got this award. We're very proud of him! Hard to believe he starts high school in August.
